Brian Brooks is a Works Manager at KGJ Price Railway Contractors, bringing over 35 years of dedicated service and industry experience to the business. Brian joined the company in 1988 as a Track Man, supporting rail maintenance within the South Wales coal industry, and has progressed through a range of operational roles throughout his career.
Brian holds Personal Track Safety (PTS), Controller of Site Safety (COSS), and First Aid qualifications, alongside extensive experience in patrolling, examining, and inspecting rail infrastructure. He is also a highly skilled operator of road-rail vehicles (RRVs), telescopic forklifts, and track excavators.
Over the years, Brian has played a key role in the installation of a wide variety of switches and crossings, including crossovers, tandem turnouts, and double slips. His experience spans mainline rail networks, industrial sidings, and heritage narrow-gauge railways, as well as the installation of level crossings using rubber, timber, and concrete systems.
A strong team player with a practical and safety-focused approach, Brian works closely with colleagues and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. His long-standing commitment and wealth of knowledge make him a valued and trusted member of the KGJ Price team.
