Returns & Refund Policy (Business Customers Only)

1) Introduction

This Returns & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made by business customers from KGJ Price Railway Contractors via our website.

By placing an order, you confirm you are acting in the course of business and not as a consumer.

 

2) Returns Eligibility

Returns will only be accepted in the following circumstances:

  • Damaged goods received in transit
  • Incorrect items supplied due to our error

We do not accept returns for:

  • change of mind
  • ordering errors by the customer
  • surplus or unwanted stock

 

3) Notification Requirements

You must notify us of any issues within the following timeframes:

  • Damage or shortages: within 48 hours of delivery
  • Incorrect items: within 48 hours of delivery

Notification must be made via email to enquiries@kgjprice.co.uk, including:

  • order number
  • description of the issue
  • photographic evidence (where applicable)

Failure to notify within this timeframe will be deemed acceptance of the goods.

 

4) Return Authorisation

All returns must be approved in advance.

To initiate a return, you must request a Return Authorisation Number (RAN). Returns received without a valid RAN may be rejected.

Approved returns must be:

  • unused
  • in original packaging
  • in a resaleable condition

 

5) Refunds

Refunds will only be issued where:

  • the return has been authorised
  • the goods have been received and inspected
  • the return meets the conditions outlined in this policy

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days from receipt and inspection of goods. This will be issued to the original payment method.

We reserve the right to:

  • refuse refunds for non-compliant returns
  • deduct costs for damage, handling, or missing packaging

 

6) Replacement of Goods

Where goods are damaged or incorrect, we will, at our discretion:

  • replace the goods, or
  • issue a refund

Replacements will be prioritised where required to minimise operational disruption.

 

7) Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless defective:

  • bespoke or made-to-order products
  • modified or customised items
  • items not in resaleable condition
  • items that have been installed, used, or altered

 

8) Return Costs

  • Where the return is due to our error, we will arrange or cover return transport.
  • In all other cases (where approved), return costs are the responsibility of the customer.

 

9) Product Responsibility

All products must be inspected prior to installation or use.

We are not liable for costs associated with:

  • installation or removal
  • downtime or project delays
  • use of defective or incorrect goods after acceptance
